The Braille Workshop is a comprehensive one year course designed to introduce blind, low vision, and sighted students to Braille 1 and 2. Held on Zoom for convenient accessibility, the workshop offers a dynamic learning environment where participants can engage with the material from the comfort of their own homes. In addition to regular interactive sessions, the course provides individual tutoring sessions to ensure personalized attention and support for each student’s unique learning needs. By combining group learning with one-on-one guidance, the Braille Workshop equips students with the necessary skills to read and write Braille, fostering inclusivity and empowerment in the visually impaired community.

Assistive Technology Workshop

Assistive Technology Workshop Detail

The Assistive Technology Workshop is a comprehensive 2-month course designed to introduce blind, low vision, and sighted students to the effective use of assistive technologies. Held on Zoom, this workshop focuses on teaching attendees how to utilize voiceover commands, screen readers, and other aids on their computers and mobile devices. With a strong emphasis on accessibility, the program equips participants with essential skills to navigate digital platforms independently. Individual tutoring sessions are provided after each class to offer personalized guidance and support, ensuring that students can confidently apply what they have learned. By fostering digital inclusion and empowerment, the Assistive Technology Workshop opens doors to enhanced accessibility for all participants.
